People usually burn incense and oils because of the distinct scent it produce when lit. Though it comes with relaxation, carelessness may result to a different experience when burning incense. Frequent reminders of these common tips help in avoiding accidents when using incense.
Burning means something is lit with fire and often times it may be associated with unexpected experiences like accidents. This why you need to be sure to place your burner on a heat- resistant surface.
Make sure to place it away from cluttered objects. Put away pieces of cloth or papers that may be blown away and eventually come in contact with the burning incense. There are instances that appliances may react with the heat when burning so make sure to avoid using the incense near from electrical devices.
A child or pet’s innocent curiosity could lead to accidents and injuries so make sure not to burn incenses near them. Do not let the burning incense and oils unattended overnight when you decide to go to sleep. Be sure that you put off any lit part of the incense after use. For stick or coil incense, you can dab the lit part with water or cut the tip when putting the incense off. The use of sand or ash can put off the burning tip of the incense. Discard burning embers of charcoals in water. When not discarded properly, burning ashes from charcoal can remain lit for hours and produce fire.
It is advised to burn the incense in a well- ventilated area. It is not safe to inhale too much smoke from burning incenses. Ask your doctor for advices when using incenses if you’re pregnant or have respiratory problems.
