The Common Furniture Arrangement At Home
Oftentimes, people are confused whether where to place their furniture especially when they just moved in to a new home. When the furniture delivery came in, our room seems like a mass of clutter rather than good-looking pieces of furnishings. There are some who can manage to pay for an Interior designer but most of the time some can’t. The following are few tips on how we can arrange our furniture by ourselves:
The Entryway
The entryway is the area that was first seen by our guest. It’s significant that our entryway looks at its finest. It’s ideal to place the wall mounted mirror above the side board or the console table. Just ensure the door won’t bump the sideboard or the console table. It’s a necessity that the door can fully open. The console table and sideboard can maintain its beauty longer if we keep a space from the door. The lighting should also be enough enough for the entryway.
The Living Room
This is where we dwell most of the time. The sofa and side chairs should have at least 48 – 100 inches in-between. But this arrangement may vary because some choses to have them close to each other. The coffee table is regularly located in front of our sofa. The best distance is 14 – 18 inches in front of the sofa. But if this is uncomfortable for us, we can adjust the distance in the most comfortable way for us.
The Dining Room
In the dining area, the dining table is typically held at the middle. The dining chairs should have at least 24 inches in between. This is for the comfort of movement but then this may vary depending on the space available. It is ideal not to place the dining table right next to the wall. This way, we can serve the meals easily and will not be a distraction for our family members or guests while they were eating.
The Bedroom
This is the place where we seek for comfort. In order for us to achieve the comfort we want, we should set the furniture properly. The bed is usually located at the center of the room and the headboard of our bed is placed next to the wall. The nightstands should be fairly close to our bed so we can easily access the stuffs on top of it. If the nightstand can only accompany few things, it is ideal we purchase wall mounted lamps.
